Official Audi Melges 20 Blog

The final day at the 2011 Audi Melges 20 U.S. National Championship is upon the fleet in Miami. Once more, ideal conditions are forecasted – a nice and pleasant 13-18 knots of breeze out of the Northeast will usher in the last two races of the 8-part series.

Atop the leader board is defending champion Michael Kiss on Bacio some 9 points ahead of Marcus Eagan on Cajun Underwriting. Travis Weisleder’s Layline.com/Gill Racing Team had a steady-as-she goes day rounding out the top three.

Cajun underwriting just beat Bacio ti the right hand gate, Red sky right on his transom.

Cloudy conditions moving in… Sicktrix and Diesel were OCS, tough break for Fu! Caught on the anchor line… Otherwise, a clean start for Race 3!

Steady breeze on conditions.

Red Sky through the gate first. Fleet is headed back upwind. Kiss making a big recovery from his earlier OCS. He’s about mid-teens at the moment.
