Day two weather conditions in Miami should be about the same, however rain showers are expected to be a little more frequent. A really heavy rain shower made it’s way through the area earlier this morning. Let’s hope the chance tapers off as the day goes on.

Typically we are able to keep the blog very up-to-date, but because of how the racing is staggered on the Melges course, very specific mark and gate postings are really tough — AND we are on a very wet boat. Electronics and rain usually don’t mix

Do know though, we’ll try and keep everyone as up-to-date as possible, as we can.

Bacio maintains the lead, CU right on his heels! Lots of screaming at the mark for room!

A clean start for the fleet… Bacio hot off the line and around the top in first… Red Sky in second…

Cajun Underwriting still with a strong lead as the teams come to the finish! Bacio trying to make a move for the lead! Very close finish with Bacio pulling into the lead, CU battles in from the left…

To close at the line to call… We think CU got it at the line!

Gorgeous, more than perfect racing conditions on the course! An easy 15-20 knots and big waves on the bay… Sunshine . Nice and warm!

The first day of racing at Bacardi Miami Sailing Week for the Audi Melges 20 is set to be spectacular. A very nice 13-20 knots is expected for today’s three races. Stay close to this blog as we’ll be bringing you all the latest updates direct from the course.
